Flash Fiktion formed in 2009 after Matt Bishop and Ollie Thomas decided to disband their previous group Switches. The name Flash Fiktion refers to a specific form of short story that could fit on the back of a postcard. The group released its first single 'Leni' in the summer of 2010 followed by UK tours with The Bravery and Young Knives in 2011.
